Launching over a decade ago, Mor Workspace has transformed into Cornwall’s leading business hub offering private offices, co-working spaces, meeting rooms and virtual offices. Throughout the years our building may have evolved beyond recognition but our mission remains the same: to create a dynamic, inspiring, and collaborative environment where businesses, entrepreneurs, and freelancers can thrive.
Before Mor Workspace became the thriving community it is today, it served as the central hub for the company which built some of the housing estates in the Treloggan area. The solid concrete building housed; directors offices, storage spaces, staff dining halls, industrial workshops, vehicle servicing workshops, glass making workspace and spray painting workshops. Instead of demolishing history, we embraced it, retaining elements of the past while shaping a modern workspace honouring the legacy of the building.
Preserving the Past, Building the Future
We have honoured the site’s legacy by naming key areas after their original functions:
The Old Sprayrooms
Once used for spray jobs of a wide variety of the materials used across the company, this space now has a new lease of life as a functional work environment and hosts one of two of our communal kitchens.
The Transport Depot
This area was once the base for servicing the vehicles used across the business including; busses used for transporting staff to building sites, and lorries used to haul materials around. This space even a hidden service pit under the floor!
The Old HQ
The heart of Mor Workspace, this two-story main building is now home to a vibrant community of businesses and professionals, however, it was once the home to the ‘big bosses’ and directors, with vast corner offices, plush brown carpets and even a fire proof safe room!
The Old Glass Works
This large, open space now hosts a single office suite, with a two story height ceiling it’s certainly quirky and once was used as a prep and storage area for much of the glass used to build the local housing developments.
The Old Machine Shop
Now our largest private office suite at over 5,ooo sqft, this space became home to our first official tenants who over the years have transformed a cold, concrete industrial workshop into a thriving space with an array of offices, kitchen & dining area, conference room, meeting rooms and welcome reception!
The Visionary Behind Mor Workspace
This transformation of Mor Workspace was the vision of Matt Miller a local property developer, entrepreneur, and passionate surfer. Matt grew frustrated working from home (long before Covid made that a thing) and saw the untapped potential of a redundant building we now call Mor Workspace. Some called him crazy, some ambitious, but he envisioned a workspace that redefined the way professionals work and collaborate and has worked incredibly hard over the past 12 years to create jusrt that.
His goal was not just to create a place to work but to establish a community of innovation and connection. Today, Mor Workspace continues to serve as a hub for Cornwall’s brightest minds, from freelancers to established businesses.
